2020 has been a year full of challenges. Like all challenges, it is also giving us some opportunities. Preparing for the unique opportunities that the Fall 2020 school year will bring is a priority for every person in campus ministry. With the expectation that we will have limited access to the campuses we serve, we are preparing a place where students can find us, receive ministry, and be equipped to minister on their campuses.
God has provided a house between Salem College and Winston Salem State University that we can use as a ministry center. In order to prepare this space for ministry use, there are some repairs and improvements that we need to make. Below is a PDF that describes these projects. We have divided them according to skills needed. This way a church, Chi Alpha group, or other entity can decide which project(s) best fit their abilities & budget.
We are looking for groups that can come in and work on the ministry center in July and early August 2020. These groups would need to bring the necessary tools and funds to purchase the needed materials. Projects range in cost between $500 and $3,000. Right now many are looking for ways to serve the African American community. This ministry center will serve the students at Winston S alem State University, a Historically Black University.
