What are the dates of the Summer Missions Internship?
2019 Summer Missions Internship dates COMING and will be posted asap!!
The Internship is approximately 10 weeks long.
How much will the Summer Missions Internship cost?
The total cost of the Summer Missions Internship is $1600. This includes registration for the Atlantic Coast SICM, monies for groceries and meeting with students, lodging with a host family, and educational materials.
We can provide you with training in raising funds to cover your internship costs.
What will be my responsibilities/expectations?
Duties will be given by Summer Internship Director. Just to name a few; joining/participating in our weekly prayer meetings, observing our staff meetings, helping to facilitate events, and meeting students on campus. Staff members will be there to help and will mentor you on a one-to-one basis, during the entire Summer Missions Internship.
Is there a payment schedule? How much and when are is it due?
Yes there is a payment schedule, in order to help you to plan accordingly.
That schedule will posted once dates are set.
Where will I be living?
We have lined up housing with godly people from local area churches. They are either retired, empty nesters, or younger couples, who have no children. You will have your own private bedroom and bathroom.
Breakfast, a laundry facility and internet will all be provided.
Will I need my own transportation?
Having your own transportation is definitely preferable.
However, do not let that hinder you from coming. We will work with you to help provide transportation to and from housing and any staff related events and meetings.
Meals?
Your host family will more than likely provide a breakfast option every morning. You will be responsible for lunch and dinner, whether that’s at home or out.
Storing your groceries and cooking at your host home will be permitted.
Can I have a part-time job while doing the Summer Internship?
Yes. You can work up to 15 hours a week.
We would prefer that you obtain a job that helps you to be in interaction with college students.
For example, but not limited to: coffee shops, local restaurants, and retail, etc.
