Our Program.

The Triad Chi Alpha Internship is a 6 week program which aims to train and equip future ministry leaders and missionaries with practical tools, hands-on work experience, and healthy spiritual disciplines. Our interns are integral members of our team and ultimately help us to reach the students of local colleges and universities. Interns work 30-40 hour weeks with the ministry, which means when they are not working they need an environment conducive to helping them get the rest they need. This is where you come in! Please note as you make your decision, our interns are prepared to compensate you as their host at a rate of $35 per week, as well as purchase their own groceries and personal supplies.
Expectations.

By choosing to host a summer intern, you help make our ministry possible! Having great host homes where our Interns can feel safe and welcomed, enables us to work more efficiently in providing life changing experiences to equip these students to see God's kingdom to their campuses To help ensure that all of our interns feel at home, we have outlined some general guidelines we expect our Host Homes to meet.
The following information will help you to understand your role as a host home and the expectations therein. Please make yourself familiar with the requirements for our Host Homes and feel free to contact us with any questions that may arise.
The following information will help you to understand your role as a host home and the expectations therein. Please make yourself familiar with the requirements for our Host Homes and feel free to contact us with any questions that may arise.
- We ask that our Host Homes fill out all applicable paperwork in its entirety. This includes initial forms such as the Host Home Application, Code of Conduct, and a Reference Page. In order to fill out an application, please email Stormy Anders at TXAhousing@gmail.com, Thank you!
- We ask that at minimum you provide our interns with their own room with a bed and closet space. (Please ensure that this is not a shared space or converted space such as an office or family room). This is to ensure that our interns have their privacy and the ability to fully relax.
- Please make sure that the intern has access to a full bathroom with room for them to store their toiletries.
- The intern will need space in the kitchen cupboards and/or fridge for personal groceries. Interns’ schedules are often inconsistent and their hours will vary, making it likely that they will often not be home during lunch and dinner. We DO NOT expect you to adjust your meal times to the intern’s schedule.
- Please provide your intern with a breakfast option. This is the only meal we ask that you provide, however you are of course welcome to bless your intern with meals as you feel so inclined.
- We ask our interns have the ability to do laundry in your home. You are by no means expected to do laundry for the intern.
- Finally we ask that the intern have access to wireless internet as often time they will have “homework” and need the ability to conduct research and work on projects at home.
